In preparation for the upcoming Whole World Mobilizing Children and Youth Weekend, we have provided a link below with materials that will assist you in making this weekend a success. The goal is to empower our young people through providing them with ways to lead in ministry. We should continue to validate, equip and listen to our young people through encouraging and teaching them in the ways of the Lord!
We would encourage you to post pictures, videos, etc. to your individual web pages, our thq west-youth, and Say Resources facebook page with the hastag #wholeworldmobilizing.
The Whole World Mobilizing Children and Youth weekend will be March 24-26, 2017 in lieu of the International Day of Prayer. Please be sure to begin advertising this if you have not already done so. I am also attaching the DYO emblem created for Whole World Mobilizing as well as the Corps Cadet material specifically produced for the Whole World Mobilizing efforts.
The broad framework for the weekend is:
Friday 24 March: Prayer:
Virtual prayer meetings via social media.
Physical prayer meetings in corps buildings, homes and other venues.
Saturday 25 March: Community engagement and social action:
Opportunities for corps and other Salvation Army expressions to be active and visible in their local communities.
Sunday 26 March: Worship and celebration:
Main meeting led by youth and children: with youth and children leading worship, prayer times, preaching, testifying etc.
Opportunity for every corps to hear the dreams of youth and children in their corps: it would be amazing to see/hear our children and youth sharing their ‘dreams’for The Salvation Army on the same day all around the world.
