Together with Vanguard University’s Global Center for Women and Justice, The Salvation Army would love to invite you and your church to join us as we launch BRAVE on Friday, March 3rd from 6:30 p.m. – 8: 00 p.m. at Newport Mesa Church!

BRAVE — The beginning of hope towards the end of human trafficking. BRAVE exists to empower the local church to gather, inspire and connect with vulnerable girls to prevent human trafficking.

Come, be inspired, and learn how to join us in making a dent in human trafficking by empowering foster girls and hosting BRAVE at your church.

Additional speakers & guests:
Lisa Barnes: Foster Grad, Speaker & Salvation Army Officer (Pastor)
Noemi Chavez, Speaker and Pastor at 7
th Street Church

What’s BRAVE?

It’s a foster-informed catalytic event specific for foster girls, where they can be celebrated for who they are and reminded of their strength, identity, and worth.

Why BRAVE?

An astonishingly high number of domestic human trafficking survivors are coming from the foster care system. BRAVE is simply the first step to intercept that. Why can’t the Church reach them before the traffickers?

How BRAVE works:

A church will host a BRAVE event and invite current foster girls and share empowerment themes and hopeful messages:
1. GATHER: We see you; you matter
2. INSPIRE: We believe you; you can do it
3. CONNECT: We are with you; you’re not alone

The Salvation Army has put together a DYI Manual to help Churches plan a BRAVE event and a foster-grad written journal for each of the foster girls who attend the event.

Because we believe #GirlsareBrave. Follow BRAVE on Facebook for more updates:
