Friends, I know what you’re thinking…is it kettle season already?! It is.

Here’s a fun fact about kettles: The red Christmas kettle debuted in San Francisco in 1891 in the guise of a crab pot.  A depression had thrown many out of work, including hundreds of seamen and longshoremen.  The campaign proved so successful that by 1900 it was imitated nationwide.

Regardless of the exhaustion this season may bring, remember Jesus says, “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matt. 25:40)

By now, many of you have heard and hopefully checked out the awesome new resources for troops! If you have not, check them out below:

Due to the new resources, you will start to notice that the emblems are not in sync with the season, but more leaning towards the goal in completing the emblems necessary to obtain that specific award. On the high award application, you can find which are required which are also charted as they should be. The rest of the emblems have been paired up according to the award and the compatibility across the board. Keep in mind that this is a resource but you can always change the badge you’d like to do at your discretion.
