Emblems of the Month
SeptemberFriends- join me in kicking-off the 2016-2017 program year!
We are so excited for all that this new program year has to offer! Hence, UPDATED Girl Guard material! Yahoo! On top of that, there are many other resources that are out for your convenience in terms of Troop programs! Feel free to make use of them in your corps programs!
As we begin this program year, let’s focus on our church and its mission by going through our Salvation Army emblems- which give our youth a bigger concept of who we are and what our history is all about. This can be helpful for youth that are beginning to be part of the corps, as well as for returners who can be reminded of what we’re all about!

Since each troop can earn two emblems a month, there is no going wrong with beginning the year with fundamentals which we can find in our Bible emblems! It is important that we encourage our youth to read, study and live out the Bible, so as they grow they can begin to grasp higher level concepts. If they understand what is being read as well as the history and culture, they can begin to “taste and see that the Lord is good”!
